Firearm Courses

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course is required to obtain your Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) in Canada. We also run periodic reloading and marksmanship workshops for people who already have their PAL and want to build practical skills.

What's covered

  • Canadian Firearms Safety Course (Non-Restricted): 8 hours, held most Saturdays 8am-5:30pm
  • Canadian Firearms Safety Course (Restricted): Most Sundays and if taken within 7 days of the Non-Restricted Course its only 4 hours, 8am-1pm. If it is not within 7 days of the Non-R Course, then it is a 6 hour course, 8am-3pm.
  • Marksmanship & Ballistics Workshop: classroom safety instruction plus live-fire range practice with .22 rimfire, 30-30 centerfire, and 12-gauge shotgun
  • Reloading Basics Course: equipment, cost breakdown, and hands-on inert cartridge assembly
